The beautiful innkeeper Mirandolina is courted by a noble but penniless Marquis Forlimpopoli and by the wealthy Count of Albafiorita, while only his valet, Fabrizio, is really in love with her. The woman, who seems to be enough, for her pleasure the attention that leads in men, does not give anything to anyone of the three, but take care, skillfully, pending hopes. One day in her inn, which also hosts the Venetian lawyer Carlo Goldoni, comes the knight of Ripafratta, grumpy misogynist. Mirandolina swears herself to let him fall in love with her and so it happens. Met, the innkeeper will give her hand to Fabrizio.
